This workshop is organized by the International Network "Oxide Superspin" (OSS) to explore novel superconductivity at oxide superconductor interfaces with magnetic materials and in nanodevices. The network consists of experimental and theoretical groups in Japan, the UK, South Korea, and Italy and is largely supported through the Core-to-Core Programme of JSPS (Japan) and the EPSRC (UK).
OSS2017 is open to the scientific community and focuses on the state-of-the-art as well as well as in the future direction of spin-active superconducting states at the oxide interfaces and in nanostructures. In addition to scientific lectures, the workshop will include tutorial lectures aimed at graduate students and non-specialists new to the field. We welcome poster presentations on the relevant topics by general participants.
OSS2017 is held as a satellite to the "Novel Quantum States in Condensed Matter 2017 (NQS2017)", a long-term workshop held between Oct. 23 and 24 at the Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics, Kyoto University.
